Ultra-Violet treatment of Bidet Washing Water
Ultra-Violet treatment of all Bidet washing water is essential for maximum personal hygiene.
All water coming into STA toilets must pass through the RPZD strainer. Then it passes through a fine 180 micron filter, which is located in the wall shutoff valve. All water which is then diverted off to our bidet/wash unit is further filtered by another even finer 150 micron mesh filter. Strainer and filters are easily accessed. They can all be cleaned and refitted. (There are no consumable filter costs.)
Our STA 768, STA 768/H & STA 783 take water cleanliness to an even higher level. They have a specially integrated UV Disinfection unit located after the physical mesh filters. By passing through this unit, all Front and Rear washing water is subjected to a process known as Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI). This uses short wavelength UV light to kill or inactivate micro-organisms. UVGI is regularly used for medical sanitation, as well as food, air and water purification. UV water treatment devices are often used for well water and surface water disinfection.
This extra layer of personal hygiene security is available with our top line models.
Features:
- UV treatment kills and/or inactivates microorganisms within the washing water
- Combination of filtration and irradiation ensures greatest degree of personal hygiene
- Minimal power usage for irradiation process which occurs only when Front/Rear wash is selected
